Larry Roots: A Survey includes a total of 50 paintings, drawings, and sculptures surveying the early origins of diverse mark making and painterly styles that intertwine and evolve into Larry’s recent work. The work included in this show spans 25 years of his artistic career.

Larry Roots is an Omaha born artist, who earned a B.A. at the University of Northern Colorado. After college, he created art in his spare time, but ultimately followed a career in business. It wasn’t until 1991 that he decided he wanted to be a full time artist and create his own portfolio. Since then, he has produced many paintings and sculptures and has owned and maintained two galleries called Modern Arts Midwest from 2003-2012 in Lincoln and Modern Arts Midtown in Omaha from 2011-present.
