Previous Exhibition- NE Landscapes

 July 13 - August 26, 2018

An extraordinary exhibition by two of Nebraska’s finest artists, Hal Holoun and Jennifer Homan.

Jennifer Homan

Jennifer Homan was born in Fort Collins, Colorado and raised in Kearney, Nebraska. Jennifer received her BA from Colorado State University and taught art at Thompson Valley High School, the Loveland Art Academy, and the Loveland Museum in Colorado before returning to Kearney to marry her high school sweetheart. Jennifer’s art is inspired by the open fields of Nebraska and Eastern Colorado, and she is an active supporter of the arts and the environment.

Hal Holoun

Hal Holoun was born in Ord, Nebraska in 1939. He earned a BA from Hastings College and an MA from the University of Wyoming in Laramie in the early 1960s. Today, Hal makes paintings that are influenced by the rich tradition of American landscape artists, the painterly innovations of 20th century abstractionists, and a deep understanding of the elemental forces of nature to which he was exposed as a child. In finding the balance among those influences, Hal creates landscapes that reach beyond simple realism.
